Location is fantastic. Bars, restaurants and bus tour stops within metres of hotel.Breakfast is good and staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed 2 nights in middle of Aug. No room noise.
Top Tip
An Italian restaurant called Ginos, 2 mins from hotel. Great pasta/salads and wicked desserts! Tapas bars just off SOL piazza, all good. Keep off main square and head for side bars and they are authentic and much cheaper.Vision Madrid bus tours, good value and an easy way to see the sights.

Excellent decor in public areas but some bedrooms, particularly those in the original part of the building, are in need of refurbishment, although cleanliness is not an issue. Breakfast is more than adequate, rooms are serviced daily and efficiently, and most of the staff are friendly and helpful (like everywhere else, there is always one!). Very central, within easy walking distance of the City's attractions - museums, galleries, Royal Palace, gardens - shopping areas and a complete range of interesting, and cosmopolitan, restaurants, bars and cafes.
